Who I am

I'm Michelle Norton. The house and pet sitting service on this site is run by me personally. Anything about your data: [email protected].

What I collect

Only what you put in one of the two forms on this site.

• The booking form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, postcode, the dates you need covering, who needs looking after, and anything you write in the message box.
• The contact form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message.

What I use it for

Replying to you and, if we go ahead, arranging your sit. That's the whole list. No marketing emails, no newsletters, and your details are never sold or passed to anyone for their own use.

Who sees it

Only me. Your message isn't shown to anyone else, published anywhere, or used to build a public listing.

Where it lives

Booking form enquiries are saved in my private database (hosted with Supabase) that only I can access.

Both forms also email your details to my inbox, which is a Google (Gmail) account. The email is sent by a small Cloudflare Worker that passes it to Gmail and keeps no copy. The same route sends you one email confirming I have your message.

Contact form messages are not saved in the database, only in my inbox. Both forms send your details over an encrypted connection.

How long I keep it

Enquiries and messages that don't turn into a booking are deleted within a few months, from the database and from my inbox. If we go ahead with a sit, I keep what's needed for that booking until it's done, then delete it, unless you ask me to sooner.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and it's done, no process to go through.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. I do use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit which pages, which is privacy-first by design: no cookies, no fingerprinting, and nothing that identifies you personally or follows you to another site.
